Return policy

Bought a piece at Vintro Shop and it turns out not to fit? You have 14 days to change your mind, without having to explain why.

In short

  • 14 calendar days to change your mind, from the day after delivery.
  • You tell us by e-mail. No reason needed.
  • You then have another 14 days to send the piece back.
  • Return shipping is yours; we refund the purchase and the standard delivery cost.
  • Your money is back within 14 days of your message.

How to return something

  1. Send a message to info@vintropro.com with your order number and the piece you are returning. A plain e-mail is enough — no form needed.
  2. You get a confirmation and the return address.
  3. Pack the piece the way it reached you, and send it back within 14 days of your message.
  4. Keep your proof of postage. With it we can refund before the parcel even arrives.

Don't send anything back without telling us first. For furniture and large pieces we would rather collect them ourselves than put them through a conveyor belt a second time.

What you get back

We refund everything you paid: the price of the piece and the delivery cost you paid at purchase. If you expressly chose a more expensive delivery than our standard one, we refund the amount of that standard delivery.

The refund happens within 14 days of you telling us your decision, using the same payment method as the purchase. We may wait until we have the piece back, or until you show that you sent it — whichever comes first.

The cost of sending it back is yours. We say so here explicitly, because that is the condition under which the law allows it: if it isn't stated, the shop carries that cost.

Unpacking and inspecting is fine

You may unpack the piece and inspect it as you would in a shop: pick it up, open it, check that it is what you thought. Go further than that — sanding, restoring, using — and the piece loses value as a result, and we may deduct that loss from the refund.

Second-hand, and what that means

Everything sold here is second-hand and has had a life. Scratches, patina and traces of use come with it; they are in the description and in the photos. So those traces are not a fault — but they are not a reason you couldn't return either: your 14 days stand regardless.

Is the piece materially different from the description, or did it get damaged in transit? Tell us as soon as possible, with a photo, and at the latest within two months of noticing. We will sort that out, and it is separate from your cooling-off period.

You also always have the legal guarantee: the seller is liable for defects that already existed at delivery. Because these are second-hand pieces, the guarantee runs for one year from delivery. We agree this with you here: you accept it when you buy. If a defect shows up within that year, it is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless we prove otherwise (art. 1649quater, former Belgian Civil Code).

Who you are dealing with

Every piece on Vintro Shop is sold by the dealer who offers it, and that dealer sends the invoice. This returns policy applies to the pieces of Vintiques Export, Grote Moerstraat 73, 8200 Bruges, Belgium, VAT number BE 1012.510.942. If you buy from another dealer, that dealer is your seller. Questions about an order or a return go to info@vintropro.com.

If we cannot work it out together, you can turn to the Consumer Mediation Service.

Your Vintro Pro subscription

This page is about the pieces you buy in the shop. Your software subscription is a different thing: you cancel it in the app, under Company settings → Billing and VAT, or by emailing info@vintropro.com, and what applies there is in the subscription terms.

This translation is informative. Only the Dutch version, Retourbeleid, is binding.

Frequently asked questions

How long do I have to return a piece?

You have 14 calendar days from the day after delivery to tell us you are returning the piece, with no reason required. After that message you have another 14 days to actually send it back.

How do I tell you about a return?

Send a message to info@vintropro.com with your order number and the piece you are returning. A plain e-mail is enough; no form is needed. You will get the return address and a confirmation.

Who pays for the return shipping?

Return shipping is at your expense. The delivery cost you paid at purchase is refunded, up to the amount of our standard delivery.

When do I get my money back?

Within 14 days of telling us your decision, using the same payment method as the purchase. We may wait until we have the piece back, or until you show proof that you sent it.

May I unpack and inspect the piece?

Yes. You may unpack and inspect it as you would in a shop. If you go further than that and the piece loses value as a result, we may deduct that loss from the refund.

Are signs of age a reason to return?

Everything we sell is second-hand and carries traces of use, described in the listing and visible in the photos. If the piece is materially different from the description or was damaged in transit, tell us as soon as possible, and at the latest within two months of noticing — we will sort it out, separately from your cooling-off period.

Does this apply to my Vintro Pro subscription?

No. This page is about pieces bought at Vintro Shop. You cancel your software subscription in the app (Company settings → Billing and VAT) or by email; the subscription terms cover that.
